The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tromsø, Norway, is proud to host an international symposium about arts education in November 2011. The symposium will focus on the Bologna process and how it affects the world of education in fine and performing arts. Standing between freedom and control creates dilemmas and challenges that are crucial for arts education and research today. Is a more academic art world what we need? And do we want it?
