At the meeting in the Steering Committee in Bergen 18 - 19 Juni 2008, eight new fellows were admitted to the programme.
Sara Margrethe Oskal is a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Performing Arts, Oslo National Academy of the Arts. During the international sami festival Riddu Riđđu she participates with "Boazobánni/ Reindeer Snoop Deer", her second artistic work in the project "Sami Trickster traditions and theatrical modes of expressions". The performance tells the story of the runaway Reindeer Snoop Deer and his observations of life today.

Saga Night is a gift from the artist Marianne Heier to Maihaugen open-air museum of cultural heritage. Saga Night is a continuation of the solo show Pioneer held at "ROM for kunst og arkitektur" in Oslo in November of 2007. This project is an independent work that is part of Per Gunnar Eeg-Tverbakk’s fellowship project called 'Space for Interference' funded by the National Norwegian Artistic Research Fellowships Programme.

The Programme for Research Fellowships in the Arts was established four years ago, and Siri Meyer, who is Head of the Steering Committee, is very satisfied that the programme is well established and on the way to being publicly recognised. - The programme aptly demonstrates a need for new approaches to knowledge production, she says.
